Robert Kittle
About
“In our multifaceted world, marked by beauty, challenges, vibrancy, and contrasts, my art seeks to reflect this intricate dance. I believe in the harmonious coexistence of contrasting ideas, often side by side. While I won't dictate what one should perceive in my creations, I promise a resonance, a connection that speaks to you. Whether driven by a clear vision or letting the canvas guide me, the outcome always captures a slice of our shared universe.”
Robert Kittle, based in Baltimore, Maryland, is a distinguished fine art painter who infuses his canvases with a passion reminiscent of both art and music. Alongside his celebrated painting career, he's a self-taught guitarist, contributing his talent to Baltimore's music and art scenes for over two decades. While Robert's artworks, often described as "abstract expressionist landscapes" or evocative of "aerial photography," have graced numerous group shows and private collections, it's his innovative approach that truly sets him apart. Rather than solely relying on traditional paint and brush, Robert employs a range of unconventional techniques— from scraping and scratching to flinging and throwing. His penchant for blending diverse textural elements like sand, coffee, beads, and sawdust introduces a tangible topography to his paintings. Nestled in Baltimore, he enjoys the company and inspiration of his wife and their six-year-old daughter.
